One Day Creative Planting Design Course
Something a little bit different from The Cotswold Gardening School.
Our first day course where you bring your drawing materials with you and work on a planting design example live in class with support from Caroline.
Get Creative With Us
We will be getting stuck into the practical process of creative planting design. With
our tutor’s guidance you will learn the steps to get you from creative idea to drawing
and planting.
If you would like to be guided through the stages of drawing a highly creative but
achievable planting plan, inspired by your favourite artwork or photograph, then this course is for you.
We will be working on an exercise example, to learn the step by step creative
process. You will be able to later apply this same process to your planting schemes
at home.
Handouts to Take Home
Your tutor will be running through the process on the day, and setting a series of
exercises to guide you through the process.
You will receive an extensive handout booklet which follows the topics covered
through the day and is intended to act as a reminder when you get home.
As you undertake each exercise Caroline will be on hand to guide you and offer
advice and support.
There are lots of recommended books for further reading after the course too.

Although this course is all about giving you the experience of the process of creative planting design while you work on a hypothetical example, we also love specific questions about your own garden and its planting.
The techniques that you learn can later be applied to your own garden specifically.
Please do check out the short equipment list that you will need to bring along for this course. We will provide everything else for the day such as tracing and graph paper as well as circle templates and rulers.
