Following their studies, Lucille and Molly founded Soft Line Studio, a garden design practice based in the Cotswolds, creating thoughtful, planting-led gardens that respond sensitively to place. Coming from creative, arts-led backgrounds, their work explores the relationship between planting, landscape and atmosphere, with an emphasis on naturalistic planting and gardens that evolve gently over time.

Alongside developing private garden projects, they continue to work closely with plants through practical horticulture, grounding their design work in hands-on experience. Through their journal, Soft Line Studio Notes, they also write about gardens, seasonality and the quieter rhythms that shape their approach to landscape. 

We cover Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and surrounding counties, and offer full garden design services, planting design and one-off consultations. We also offer a garden dressing service.
